An update-Something a Little Personal

This past summer, I revealed to you my battle with acne and how Shawn had helped me.
I think I am 99% acne free. On this picture I am wearing very light makeup, did not retouch the picture but changed it to black and white.
I will forever and always have Shawn to thank for the gift she had given me. She is incredible beyond belief.

The Call of the Heart
I wanted to share this with you. My parents had other plans for me. My mother wanted me to pursue a career in fashion design, after seeing how quickly I took to sewing. My father wanted me to follow in his foot steps and be a drafter, after seeing how well I can draw.
Both careers did not appeal to me. My love, to draw and design. I love history and science. My heart called me on another direction. This morning I watched a movie called Queen Christina with Greta Garbo. What can I say-I am an OOOOOOOLD soul.
Anyways, unbeknown to me it was an actual-Hollywoodized account on the Queen on Sweden. When the peasants after being taunted to uprise, due to the queen`s ambivalence on her decision to marry and rule Sweden, she would respond with wisdom. She made a comparison.
Just as their fathers passed on a profession, she too was passed a profession. To be King.
Her father made rules that she`d be sworn as a King, often called Girl King. She had ambition running through her, but her heart and love for the arts and science called her.
She often talk about the “call of the heart” and when she was taunted about her duty to marry and bear children for the throne, she said;”Must we live for the dead?” Greta Garbo was flawless and strong, on a role that insinuated a promiscuous woman, very naughty for her time period!! I love this movie and it
was truly inspiring. I hope you get to see it!
