How do you go to the Met for free or get Starbucks

coffee refills free? Only a Manhattanite will know. Walking out the door in this town is like having a subscription to Sweet Inspiration Daily… This is all dousing my thoughts as the door man opens the door to my destination on 79th and 3rd.

After than magnificent lunch, we walked to Bryant Park and sat for a bit to rest our legs. My knee was starting to hurt, (it was an ice accident!) so I waited 15 minutes before I called Ruta. She said it would take me about 25 minutes in a taxi to go uptown. “Okay I am on my way!!”

Ruta is so sweet, her 1920`s French inspired apartment is so divine. “Tell me how your meeting went. I want to know all about it!” Ruta said. I was so excited, thoughts just were not converting to words fast enough. “My meeting with the art rep went awesome, it was all I had expected and more. I am signing up with him!” I was so excited and glowing. Shayne had been such a good sport. I dragged him all around the city, made him sit through a boring business meeting, made him hold my shoes and bags and he didn`t even complained. At least Saturday was ours!

So we had something to drink and headed for the Met. As we walk towards it, she explains that there is a 20 dollar donation to enter. A family walks by us wearing the yellow button that identifies you as a paying patron. She stops them and asks if they are done with them. They actually give them to us! “See now you don`t have to pay!” Ruta is so funny! But who else would have known!

After our walk there we visited some of the most beautiful architecture NYC has. I was so inspired, I had to come back when I had more time. It was a delight. From all the artist selling their work on the side walk, to couture designers` flawless showing on their window displays, it was like a walk to Paris artistic side walks and stores.

But what is a trip to NYC without visiting The Loeb Boathouse, where Carrie met Big for the first time. What a romantic place! Central Park is just so sweet and romantic. After that, we hurried back to meet the Divapreneurs at 6 for Champagne. When we got there, Jessica Wachsman a voice actress and Nancy Spruiel a Spa Diva were were waiting already.

We sipped champagne, talked about men, (yes Shayne was there, and didn`t care!), business and sport injuries, (why did the conversation veer into that is beyond me) and how we must do this again.

Yes, I will be doing this again! Thank you Ruta, Jessica and Nancy for meeting me for drinks! Love ya! Around 7:30pm we started to say our goodbyes and exchanged business cards. We shall meet again!

So we headed out to the train…. to our honeymoon cove in quiet and historic Plainfield, NJ…
